On Sunday 6th June 1999 I went to the Cheltenham Town Hall with a couple of friends from work to see WISHBONE ASH supported by TIM ROSE, also appearing at this gig were WHOLE LOTTA LED. Now for a little bit about each performance as they happened.

WHOLE LOTTA LED

This was the band that I saw at the AXIOM in March. It was very nice to be able to see the whole band this time (no PA or Speakers hiding the band). At one point Rod (the lead singer) fell over whilst trying to perform a high kick. The full line-up of the band being:-

• ROD DAVIS - Vocals / Harmonica
• NICK FERRIS - Lead Guitar
• GEOFF HUNT - Bass / Mandolin / Keyboards
• GRAHAM TWIST - Drums

The best song they performed on the night was RAMBLE ON.

TIM ROSE

Next up on stage was TIM ROSE who is a singer/songwriter from America that had worked with MAMA CASS on COME AWAY MALINDA, and wrote HEY JOE for JIMI HENDRIX, both songs of which he performed.

WISHBONE ASH

Although only one member of the original line-up (ANDY POWELL) was performing this did not seem to matter. The Line-up for the band was:-

• ANDY POWELL - Guitar / Vocals
• BOB SKEAT - Bass / Vocals
• MARK BIRCH - Guitar / Vocals
• RAY WESTON - Drums

They performed tracks from their thirty or so year career including F.U.B.B., UNDERGROUND (both of which I think I recognised), and my personal favourite on the night, PHEONIX. Now visit the WISHBONE ASH Website.

The whole concert lasted nearly four hours.
